A Star Spangled Night on Navy Point, 1812-2012

$175 per person person or $1,750 for a table of 10, with benefactor and corporate sponsorships available.

Be a part of the Museum’s fall gala fundraiser which includes cocktails, dinner, and dancing on Navy Point. Funds raised support the Museum’s mission to inspire an understanding of and appreciation for the rich maritime heritage of the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal reaches, together with the artifacts, cultures, and connections between this place and its people.

Wilmington Trust has been named the lead sponsor to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s (CBMM) A Star Spangled Night on Navy Point, 15th Annual Boating Party. The signature, tented event will be held September 8 along the museum’s waterfront campus in St. Michaels, MD. The Boating Party is the museum’s annual fundraising event, with proceeds benefiting the children and adults served by the museum’s educational, exhibit, and boat restoration programs. This year’s event is co-chaired by Cynthia and Doug Jurrius and Talli and Geoff Oxnam.

Set along the scenic Miles River, the September 8 fundraising gala begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a full-course gourmet dinner catered by PeachBlossoms, live music, and dancing. Wilmington Trust is a client-focused financial services firm providing a distinct mix of financial, wealth advisory, and asset management services. With roots dating back to the founding of Wilmington Trust Company by T. Coleman duPont in 1903, Wilmington Trust has been serving members of the duPont family and successful individuals, businesses, and families for generations.

The non-profit Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is the leading institution for studying, preserving, exhibiting and celebrating the rich maritime history, heritage, traditions and culture of the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal reaches. With 18 waterfront acres in the historic town of St. Michaels, the museum offers permanent and changing exhibits, demonstrations, scenic boat cruises, and annual festivals celebrating Chesapeake Bay culture, boats, seafood, and history.
