About The Academy

The Academy for Lifelong Learning (A.L.L.) at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) is  a uniqueopportunity to enhance your life throughlearning both within and outside classroom environments. An academic cooperativerun by members who volunteer their time and talents, A.L.L. offers courses, group discussions, presentations, field trips, and social events conceived and conducted by members. The programsencompass a
diverse range of topics, including ecology,literature, history, religion, science, current events, photography, philosophy, gardening, and more.  Courses are held on the CBMM campus and at nearby locations.

Participate in A.L.L.! Become a Member
A.L.L. Annual Membership is required to participate in courses.
Fees:       CBMM members:  $25 per person; $40 per couple.
                   Non-CBMM members: $30 per person; $50 per couple.

All courses have an informal format and are developed by the members and held on the CBMM campus and other nearby locations. The Academy is an academic cooperative run by members who volunteer their time and talents. All members are encouraged to be active participants in all organization functions.

Call for Catalog Cover Art and Photographs

Each fall, winter, and spring, the Academy of Lifelong Learning Course Catalog features a cover photograph, or artwork, from an A.L.L. member. We invite your submissions and hope to receive lots of choices. There are three catalogs a year. The final cover images will be featured on ALL’s website and Facebook page. We encourage your participation and look forward to acknowledging the talents of our membership. Please send an image of your work as an email attachment to ademart@earthlink.net.
