The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is pleased to provide its members at the Mariner Level and above with overnight docking privileges.

Registration is first come first serve and encouraged two weeks prior to the scheduled visit by calling
410-745-4946. Once registration is completed, members will receive a Boater’s Guide.

One day in advance of your arrival, please contact us by phone at 410-745-4946 or VHF Channel 16 for your slip assignment. Refer to the Boater's Guide chart showing designated docking areas A through H. Staff members will be happy to assist with your lines upon request. After docking, please check in with any member of the Visitor Services staff in the Admissions Building.

Now through March 31, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is opening its marina for members and guests to use for discounted, long-term winter docking. The non-profit’s campus is situated on the Miles River and St. Michaels’ harbor.
The Museum has 25 slips along protected waterfront, accommodating boats with up to a 9-foot draft, and offering amenities including finger piers, pump out services, and electric services at a number of slips.

In addition to savings of more than 50% per foot, the longer you stay, the more you save! Stay for oneweek and receive $20 off, two weeks and receive $30 off, three weeks and receive $40 off, or stay a month and receive $50 off. During the winter months, docking guests need to check in at the Museum Store, which is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Boaters should note that CBMM’s marina shower facilities are closed through the winter.

Reservations need to be made through the dockmaster’s office Monday through Friday from 9-5 p.m., with weekend arrivals making reservations at least 48 hours in advance during the dockmaster’s hours. During the promotion, non-CBMM members who join at the Mariner’s level are eligible to receive their first winter night’s stay at no charge, and enjoy museum docking privileges year-round. Day Dockage
FREE Day dockage is available to Household Level members and above, from 10am-4pm. Availability is limited, no reservations accepted.  Memberships at the Family & Friends Level and above are permitted two additional guests for free. Any additional non-member guests must pay Museum admission

Dinghy Dock
Members are welcome to use the Museum dinghy dock. Please check in with the Welcome Center prior to visiting our grounds, or when leaving campus.

Overnight Dockage

Mariner Level members and above may make use of overnight docking facilities at a cost of:

  • $1.75 per foot Sunday through Thursday with a $50 minimum

  • $2.50 per foot Friday through Saturday and Holiday weekends with a $75 minimum

  • Single 30 amp $11 per night

  • Twin 30 amp $16 per night

  • Single 50 amp $16 per night

  • Pump-out station $5/pump-out

Supporter Level members and above will also receive a coupon for free docking on the second night of a visit once per year in addition to free head pumpout.
