The museum’s diverse indoor and outdoor facilities offer ideal settings for cocktail parties, formal sitdown dinners, and business meetings. The Steamboat Building provides indoor and outdoor facilities, including a deck overlooking Foggs Landing. It is ideal for receptions, cocktail parties and other events for up to 100 guests. The venue includes two galleries and a private entrance with close proximity to parking for your guests. Outside on Foggs Landing, a tented event will comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests. You also will have access to the decks surrounding the Steamboat Building, all which have stunning views and breathtaking sunsets.
The upper and lower outdoor decks of the At Play on the Bay exhibit building at the end of Navy Point offers the best panoramic views of the Miles River. These elegant outdoor waterfront venues are perfect for cocktail receptions with a guest list of 150. The number of guests can be considerably expanded to 400 by erecting a tent adjacent to the exhibit building. The historic Hooper Strait Lighthouse can be used as a cocktail hour location, wine tasting venue or dinner spot for a small intimate gathering of business associates or clients during weekdays. The Small Boat Shed is a perfect inside venue for a casual event for up to 100 guests. Your guest are accommodated amongst the Museum’s fleet of skiffs housed in this rustic shed with the Miles River flowing both underneath and to its side.
