Thank you for you interest in becoming
a volunteer!
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum would not be the success it is
today without the generous commitment of our dedicated volunteers.
Over the past year nearly 300 volunteers logged over 17,100 hours.
These hours are the equivalent of having 8 full-time staff members!
This dedicated group of people put their heart into all different
facets of Museum operation.
Current volunteers can visit our Volunteer
Zone for online versions of the current newsletter,
revised volunteer handbook, and a listing of immediate volunteer
needs.

Commitment
Volunteers are an integral part of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum's
daily operations. In fact, the Museum began as a volunteer organization,
and through these efforts the Museum continues to grow.
Participation in the Volunteer Program involves a commitment of
time and interest. Volunteers commit to serving two shifts per month;
each shift is four hours, depending on assignment, in addition to
participating in training opportunities.
